Belgrade – The Republican Broadcasting Agency (RBA) announced an open competition for issuing broadcasting licenses to local radio and television stations in several regions and districts.
The said competition was announced for Presevo, Blace, Bosilegrad, Crna Trava, Dimitrovgrad, Lebane, Lerskovac, Nis, Bujanovac, Vranjska Banja, Niska Banja, Trgoviste, Sjenica, Boljevac, Bor, Negotin, Zagubica, Veliko Gradiste, Lazarevac, Kragujevac and Pozarevac.

The report, which was in the form of a letter in Serbian, Albanian and Romany, was sent to the addresses of all citizens of these three municipalities.
READ MORETwo projects amounting to 27 million dinars are going to be implemented in Medvedja thanks to the funds provided by the National Investment Plan (NIP). The more important of the two projects is the construction (first phase) of the sewage sytem from the center of Medvedja to Sijarinska Spa, into which 20 million dinars will be invested. Also provided by the NIP are the funds necessary for renovating the main srteet in Medvedja, while the estimated value of the project is 6.7 million dinars. In addition, the local self-government of Medvedja submitted to the NIP four projects, the overall value of which is 200 million dinars.
READ MOREOn March 5, 2010, the Office of the Coordination Body announced two new open competitions for funding projects in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
The announced open competitions are for programs and projects of the associations of citizens for the purpose of providing assistance to the population of the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja in 2010. The associations of citizens that are registered in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as those that submit their project proposals in accordance with the clearly- set Guidelines for Project Proposal Submitters, shall have the right to participate in the open competitions. Under this open competition, 5,000,000.00 dinars shall be allocated, while the maximum amount of the financial resources per project is 500,000.00 dinars.

READ MORENovi Sad – A multiethnic play „You and I are We“, a project in which Albanian, Serbian and Roma secondary-school students from Bujanovac and Presevo take part , is going to have guest performances in Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Sombor, Sid and Sremska Mitrovica in the period from February 25 until March 2, 2010. The play resulted from an educational and artistic project of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, which made it possible for participants in the project to develop tolerance and better understanding of other cultures through playing games and associating with one another.

READ MORENOVI SAD – Followinga great success of a multiethnic play “You and I are We” in Bujanovac and Belgrade in December 2009, which is a teenage show on growing up in South Serbia, the Albanian, Serbian and Roma secondary-school students from Presevo and Bujanovac are going to perform the play in their own three languages, as well as in English, in Kikinda (February 25), Zrenjanin (February 26), Sremska Mitrovica (February 27), Sid (February 28) and Sombor (March 2). The play is going to open the 39th. Vukov sabor in Loznica on May 19.
