BELGRADE – The Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Center for Non-Violent Resistance and Center of Educational Policies, are going to hold a discussion on the preliminary results and conclusions of the Feasibility Study for the Opening of Institutions of Higher Learning in Presevo and Bujanovac at the Palace of Serbia on March 3, 2010.
BELGRADE – The Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja and the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Center for Non-Violent Resistance and Center of Educational Policies, are going to hold a discussion on the preliminary results and conclusions of the Feasibility Study for the Opening of Institutions of Higher Learning in Presevo and Bujanovac at the Palace of Serbia on March 3, 2010.
The conclusions of the study will be presented at the press-conference, which is to be held at Room number 129, Palace of Serbia (eastern entrance) at 12 o’clock noon.Speakers at the press-conference include Tinde Kovac Cerovic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Ambassador Knut Vollebaek, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and Nenad Djurdjevic, Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, while the conclusions of the study will be presented by Jana Bacevic, PhD, the Research Team Leader.
The study resulted from the “Reform of the Educational Policy in South Serbia” project, the aim of which was to systematize elements of the educational system in Serbia, to perceive comparative experiences from the region and to offer possible scenarios for future activities.
The study was financially supported by the Fund for an Open Society, UK Department for International Development, Balkan Trust for Democracy and the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
