    The public works, a total value of which is 91, 5 million dinars, are soon to be carried out in the territory of six municipalities of the undeveloped Jablanica district, which includes Leskovac, Lebane, Bojnik, Medvedja, Vlasotince and Crna Trava, while 661 persons are going to get employed. 21 contracts on performance of public works in Leskovac, as well as in Bojnik, Lebane and Medvedja, the value of which is 76 million dinars, were concluded in Leskovac at the end of last week. At the same time, 7 contracts on implementation of projects in Vlasotince, as well as in the municipality of Crna Trava, the value of which is 15, 5 million dinars, were concluded in Vlasotince.

    Public works on putting local roads in order and on forestation of areas in Bujanovac that had been devastated by fires, the value of which is 15 million dinars, will be carried out over the next four months. The contract on performance of  public works for putting local roads in order, the value of which is three million dinars, was signed, as well as the contract on forestation of the areas devastated by fires, the value odf which is 11.8 million dinars. The „Srbijasume“ public enterprise  provided a donation of 2.5 million dinar that is to be used for the seedlings, road repairs and professional asssistance with forestation. Signatories of the contarcts on public works  include Saip Kamberi, President of the municipality of Bujanovac, Directorate for the Construction of Bujanovac and the National Employment Office in Vranje, from whose list  125 unemeployed persons will be hired.

    Three confectionary factories, which carry out business operations  within the „Kondiva“ confectionary industry, were built in the village of  Zbevac, which is situated halfway between Bujanovac and Vranje. The factorieis manufacture 500 tons of top-quality chocolates, waffles, sweets and toffees per year, while over 200 young workers from Zbevac and nearby villages, who are  food-precessing and agricultural experts, are employed  there.

    PERFORMANCE OF THE “PECA AND A WOLF” MUSICAL FAIRYTALE IN BUJANOVAC AND MEDVEDJA – June 11, 20090

    Upon excellent reaction to “Peter Pan,” the first children’s play that was, after a long period of time, performed for around 750 children in Bujanovac and Presevo, the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja organized the performance of “Peca and a Wolf” musical fairytale in Bujanovac and Presevo on June 11, with the aim of encouraging cultural and educational developments for the youngest. The fairytale was performed by a wind brass quintet of the Belgrade philharmonic orchestra.

    Dejan Marinkovic, Deputy Director of the People’s Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia, and representatives of „Telenor“foundation donated to the „Partizanski dom“elementary school in the village of Bucumet, which is situated in the municipality of Medvedja, a PC with a screen, a digital camera, audio and video equipment, geographic maps, a globe and school sets for mathematics. This is the thirteenth school that received multi-media equipment and didactic instruments and tools within the „Let’s Wake the IT Serbia“project of the People’s Office and of „Telenor“foundation.

    Upon excellent reaction to “Peter Pan,” the first children’s play that was, after a long period of time, performed for around 750 children in Bujanovac and Presevo, the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia  for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja  continued organizing cultural and educational events for the youngest.

    That is why the Coordination Body is to organize the performance of “Peca and a Wolf,” a play that will be performed by a wind brass quintet of the Belgrade philharmonic orchestra at 10 am on Thursday, June 10, 2009, at the community center in Bujanovac and at 4 pm at the community center in Medvedja.

    Toshio Tsunozaki, Japanese Ambassador to Serbia, together with Saip Kamberi, President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, planted two friendship threes in the center of Bujanovac. Participating in the event were principals of elementary schools that take part in the „Clean Environment” project, which the Japanese government funds by 100,000 EUR. Mr. Tsunozaki also visited Bujanovac elementary schools „Branko Radicevic“ and „Naim Fraseri“, whose students, as well as students of elementary school „Desanka Maksimovic“ from Biljaca, take part in the project.

    Bogoljub Tomic, Director of the Bujanovac Tobacco Industry, said that around four hundred tons of tobacco is going to be produced in the territory of the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo this year, which is by 100 tons of tobacco more in comparison with the last year.

    In addition to representatives of Medvedja, the certificates were issued to representatives of Arilje, Bečej, Sečanj, Sjenica, Vlasotince, Vršac, Žitište and Zrenjanin.

    German and Dutch Ambassadors to Serbia, Wolfram Maas and Ron Van Dartel, heiled yesterday the participation of Albanians in the Coordination Body  for South Serbia.  „I am glad that the Coordination Body started operating, because regional problems can be solved only  through joint efforts of all those living there. The international community shall fulfill its commitments regarding the future and strategy of moving not only this reagion, but also the entire country, closer to the European Union,“ said Mr. Van Dartel during his visit to Bujanovac.
