    After almost ten years, children of Bujanovac and Presevo were yesterday in a position to hang out with members of “On the Stage Troupe” who performed for them “The Adventures of Peter Pan.”  The tour of the Novi Sad – based theatre was organized under the aegis of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja, while the admission to the play for the children and their teachers was free of charge. The performance was watched in the two cities by around 900 junior elementary schoolchildren.

    Verica Kalanovic, the National Investment Plan (NIP) Minister, said that it was certain that a technical mission of the World Bank would, at the beginning of May, complete all the details regarding the agreement on obtaining 388 million dollars for construction of a part of Corridor 10 in South Serbia. The tender might be invited by the beginning of July, while the construction works could commence as early.

    Saip Kamberi, the mayor of Bujanovac, paid a three-day visit to Turkey, where he met with successful Turkish businessmen from Istanbul, who were interested in investing in the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo. “Well-known Turkish businessmen expressed an interest in making investments. Their interest was mostly generated by privatization in the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo, in particular by privatization in the municipality of Bujanovac, as well as by the use of the capacities of Corridor 10, which passes through the municipality of Bujanovac,” Mr. Kamberi said. He added that an initiative to fraternize Bujanovac and Istanbul’s Fatih district was undertaken.

    АSDVENTURES OF PETER PAN IN BUJANOVAC AND PRESEVO0

    On Tuesday, April 28, 2009, children from Bujanovac and Presevo, along with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, will have an opportunity to fight for victory and once again make Never Land magical. They’ll do this while they’re accompanied by music, songs and games.  The play entitled “The Adventures of Peter Pan” will be performed by the Novi Sad “Behind the Scenes Troupe” in the Bujanovac community center at 11 am and at the Presevo community center at 3 pm. The guest performance of the “Behind the Scenes Troupe” was organized by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja. The admission is free for all the children and their teachers.

    Representatives of nine radio and television stations from seven municipalities of the Pcinj district made a deal to sign an agreement on cooperation and establisment of a uniform information region in the territory of South Serbia. The  agreement on cooperation is going to be signed by TV „Aldi“ from Presevo, RTV „Bosilegrad“ from Bosilegrad, Radio „Gold“ from Surdulica, „Ema Radio“ from Bujanovac, Radio „Iskon“ from Vranje, „Nezavisna TV 017“ from Vranje, RTV „Spektri“ from Bujanovac, „Radio Trgoviste“ from Trgoviste and „Radio Han“ from Vladicin Han.

    Eight more families that consist of refugees and displaced persons, who are currently accommodated in collective centers in Medvedja, will get “roofs over their heads” by this September. Two new blocks of flats will be constructed for them at the site located opposite the city buss station, where four buildings were built for them as long as six years ago, where 16 such families were permanently accommodated then.

    Following the signing of the Agreement on Inclusion of the Albanian representatives in the Coordination Body’s work, members of the narrow composition of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja held their first meeting in Belgrade on April 15, 2009. The meeting was chaired by Milan Markovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and President of the Coordination Body, and Saip Kamberi, Deputy President of the Coordination Body and Mayor of the municipality of Bujanovac.

    Thanks to the „Serbia in Serbia“project, the National Theatre from Belgrade, the Serbian National Theater from Novi Sad, the Yugoslav Film Archives, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the „Kolo“Troupe and the Film Center of Serbia are going to give concerts, theatrical, opera and ballet performances, as well as to show films, in the cities starting from Bujanovac and Medvedja to Sremska Mitrovica.
