On December 22, 2009, the basic organization of voluntary blood donors from the Vranje police department organized a blood donation activity at the Presevo police station. 86 units of blood were collected. Participating in the activity were police officers from all organizational units of the Vranje police department, members of the Coordination Body, border police, gendarmerie, Security and Information Agency and the Serbian Army, as well as the citizens. Twelve voluntary blood donation activities were organized over the year, while 1,116 blood units were collected.

READ MOREAt the end of a teenage theatre performance “You and I are We”, the audience exclaimed “bravo”, applauded for a long time and shed a few tears as secondary school students from Bujanovac and Presevo were leaving the stage of the “Dusko Radovic Little Theatre”. As it always happens, genuine effort, dedication and love paid off. The reward for all those that took part in this unique project and undertaking was huge. Two months of hard work, which, according to them, was wonderful and during which they associated with one another, resulted in a pop show on growing up in South Serbia. The text of the show was written by secondary-school students themselves, who used it for acting in Serbian, Albanian, Romany and English.

The”You and I are We” teenage pop-show is actually a play about growing up in South Serbia. The authors of the play and actors/actresses in it are Albanian, Serbian and Roma secondary-school students from Bujanovac and Presevo. The play is going to be performed at the “Dusko Radovic” Little Theatre in Belgrade at 8 pm on December 14, 2009.
Prior to the performance, Minister Milan Markovic, President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, and Nebojsa Bradic, Minister of Culture, will greet the audience. The Belgrade premiere will be attended by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Serbian government.

Secondary-school children, who are Albanians, Serbs and Roma from Bujanovac and Presevo, are the authors of and actors/actresses in a theater performance “You and I are We”. The premiere of the said theater performance is taking place at the Community Center in Bujanovac at 5pm on December 2, 2009. Fourteen persons have written the text of the performance, which deals with their lives and in which they presented their attitudes. The schoolchildren perform the play in their own languages, as well as in English. This exceptional workshop for actors/actresses is funded by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
The Agreement on the Implementation of Projects, the value of which is 7.9 million dollars, in 13 cities of the central and southern Serbia, is going to be signed in Bujanovac today. The signing of the Agreement on Implementation of the Joint Program of the UN Agencies in Serbia and the Serbian Government will be attended by Milan Markovic, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
