YOUTH POLICY IN SOUTH SERBIA

Vranje/Leskovac – The “Generator” association , the Youth Office in Vranje and the National Parliament from Leskovac organized a roundtable at the Assembly Hall of the city of Vranje  at which the National Youth Strategy for the 2015- 2025 period was presented, as well as the corresponding Action Plan for the 2015-2018 period. 

Vranje/Leskovac – The “Generator” association , the Youth Office in Vranje and the National Parliament from Leskovac organized a roundtable at the Assembly Hall of the city of Vranje  at which the National Youth Strategy for the 2015- 2025 period was presented, as well as the corresponding Action Plan for the 2015-2018 period.  

On behalf of the City of Vranje, the most important stakeholders of youth policy in South Serbia were welcomed by Dragoljub Stevanovic, the Deputy Mayor of Vranje, who pointed out that the local government allocated significant resources for youth, primarily in the areas of education, sports, and through the support of institutions that implement projects for the advancement of the young. 

Representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports discussed important strategic documents on youth policy and pointed out that the vision of the Strategy assumed that young people were active participants in public life, who developed better conditions for the overall development of society. Also discussed at the round table were the strategic objectives of the National Strategy and improvement of the capacities for self-employment of youth in Serbia. This is the tenth meeting of its kind, which was open to all suggestions that might be found in the final version of the draft document.
