Vranje – The Bulgarian-Serbian Center in Vranje is conducting a three-day seminar for young members of the Serbian, Bulgarian and Albanian nationalities, which is part of the project called "Youth in Modern Society".

This project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, while the opening of the seminar was attended by the Consul General of Bulgaria in Nis, Dimitar Canev, who said that the project was being implemented under the Development Assistance program, and that it was aimed at building civil society.

“All opportunities for cross-border cooperation should be used and cooperation between young people from these areas should be developed. The development of civil society is one of the requirements of democratic development, as well as of the achievement of EU standards, as Serbia’s a place is in the EU family," Mr. Canev said.

The Bulgarian-Serbian center in Vranje has existed since 2017 and was officially opened in September 2018.

So far, the Center has implemented several projects in cooperation with the Embassy of Bulgaria, as well as with the city of Vranje.

The seminar implemented as part of the project "Youth in Modern Society", which gathered young people from 15 to 30 years of age, was originally supposed to be held in March, but was postponed to June due to the corona virus.
