Bujanovac – Around 100 volunteers volunteered to help their fellow citizens who are over 65 years of age and those in self-isolation in the municipality of Bujanovac, who are in the field every day, it was said at a session of the Emergency Management Staff on Tuesday. However, the volunteers delivering food and medicines to the citizens in isolation are facing a lack of protective masks and gloves.
The latest information available to the Emergency Management Staff is that a total of 110 people are in self-isolation in the territory of the municipality, while 39 citizens over the age of 65 live alone, according to the records of the Center for Social Work.
The total number of citizens who have been denied the right to move and who are left to themselves and depend on the help of volunteers is still unknown.
Saip Kamberi, the Staff Commander, said for Bujanovac News that he expected that, according to information he had received from the republican bodies, the problem of protection would be resolved not only for volunteers, but also for the entire citizenry, in a few days.
