Volunteer Challenge is a competition of voluntary actions implemented by all people of good will who want to make positive changes in their environment. The mission of the challenge is to inspire and encourage people from the Balkans to create social changes through a process of civic engagement and lifelong participation in volunteer programs.

The volunteer challenge offers the opportunity to acquaint the public with people of good will, volunteer activities and their importance. By giving awards, the organizers want to make all the heroes and heroines, whose efforts make our little worlds better, visible, as well as to thank them, knowing that volunteering is priceless.

Voluntary actions can be undertaken in the following areas: prevention of addiction, social activities for children and young people, caring for the elderly, culture and arts, environmental protection, protection and care of animals, caring for the poor and the homeless, caring for persons with disabilities, support to refugees, mentoring and counseling.
