Bujanovac – The Bujanovac Red Cross Branch Office, in cooperation with the Institute for Blood Transfusion from Nis, is organizing a voluntary blood donation campaign at the Cultural Centre in Bujanovac from 9 am to 3 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Blood collection takes place according to the planned schedule, since blood and blood components are constantly needed by patients.

In a situation caused by the corona virus, medical treatment by means of blood transfusion must be continuous and reliable. The reduced number of healthy blood donors and the reduced response of voluntary blood donors, due to the impact of health measures taken, should be taken into consideration. Everyone who is healthy and can and wants to donate blood should not delay it in any way due to the situation caused by the corona virus.

BLOOD DONORS SHOULD NOT COME to donate blood if:

•  They traveled outside Serbia over the past 28 days

•  They have a cold, they cough and sneeze,

•  They have an elevated body temperature,

•  They were in contact with a sick person whose symptoms resemble a coronavirus infection.

All healthy citizens, aged 18 to 65, are invited to donate blood in regular voluntary blood donation campaigns organized with an authorized bloods transfusion institution.

All conditions for a voluntary blood donation are adjusted to the guidelines and instructions for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.

By donating blood voluntarily, we continue to care for the citizens who need it for treatment or cure, and thus provide support to the health care system.
