Bujanovac – The Red Cross branch office in Bujanovac, in cooperation with the Institute for Blood Transfusion from Nis, organizes an action for voluntary blood donation in the hall of the Cultural Center in Bujanovac from 9 am to 3 pm on March 30, 2020. 

The blood collection campaign is conducted according to a planned schedule, since blood and blood components are constantly needed by patients.

In the situation caused by the coronavirus, medical treatment conducted by means of transfusion must be continuous and safe. Also, it must be taken into account that a reduced number of healthy blood donors and a reduced response from voluntary blood donors can be expected due to the impact of public health measures being taken. Everyone who is healthy and can and is willing to donate blood should in no way delay donating blood because of the situation caused by the corona virus, the Bujanovac Red Cross branch office said. 

BLOOD DONORS, PLEASE DO NOT COME to donate blood if:

– You traveled outside Serbia over the past 28 days,

– You have a cold and you cough and sneeze,

– You have a fever,

– You have been in touch with a sick person whose symptoms resemble a corona virus infection.

We urge all healthy citizens, aged 18 to 65, to donate blood through regular voluntary blood donations that we organize together with the authorized blood transfusion institution. .

All conditions for voluntary blood donation are adjusted to the guidelines and instructions for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

By donating blood voluntarily, we continue to care for the citizens who need it for medical treatment or cure, and thus support the health care system,” the Bujanovac Red Cross branch office said.
