Bujanovac – The local communities of Veliki Trnovac and Ljiljance are organizing volunteers to help all those who cannot leave their homes during the state of emergency.

In Veliki Trnovac, at a meeting of the local community, two population groups in need of assistance were identified: The first group consists of elderly people who live alone and who are in a difficult economic position, while the second group includes those who are in a good economic position but cannot leave their homes.

“The local community of the village of Veliki Trnovac asks all our people living in the Diaspora, whose parents live alone and who need help, to call the phone numbers of Mustafa Alishani (Local Community Leader) + 38163454258 and Shefket Mustafa (Secretary) + 381621349293,” the local community announced. 

The local community of Ljiljance has already set up a volunteer team that will be providing assistance in the villages of Ljiljance, Kosarno and Bogdanovac.

“It is the responsibility of volunteer teams to assist in delivering food and medicines to all the citizens who are prohibited from moving around and leaving their homes and who do not have any family members or relatives to assist and supply them”, the local community  announced.

By Friday morning, 115 people infected with the corona virus were registered in Serbia. There are no registered corona virus cases in Bujanovac, but over a hundred people are in self-isolation.
