The President of the Municipality of Medvedja, Dr. Nebojsa Arsic, and the President of the Municipal Assembly, Milan Stevanovic, pointed out that it was customary to present the reward on Vidovdan until then, but that the delivery of the reward had been delayed due to justified reasons and the current situation.
“Apart from being modest, hardworking and cultured, our children can also be proud of the exceptional knowledge they had gained at school. So, in addition to praising the students, the credit also goes to their parents and teachers, thanks to whose advice, knowledge and efforts they continue achieving notable successes in the course of their further education, "said the municipal president of Medvedja during the reward ceremony.
The municipal fund "Milica Velickovic", which was established with the aim of rewarding students of the generation from the territory of the municipality of Medvedja, gives prizes to students who have shown exceptional success in schooling from year to year.
The fund for rewarding the best students was established by the decision of the Assembly of the Municipality of Medvedja in memory of the late Milica Velickovic, an extremely talented girl, who achieved excellent school results, but also those in drawing and writing and in everything she did.
