Bujanovac – The municipality of Bujanovac is asking the Republican Tax Administration (TA) to leave the offices in the local self-government’s building.

These are field inspection offices and archives offices that the Tax Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of the Republic of Serbia has been using practically since the beginning of the operation of its branch office in Bujanovac.

“This is a blow against the state, "said one of the Tax Administration employees.  

In the letter of September 8, which was signed by the President of the Municipality, Nagip Arifi, the Bujanovac branch office of the Tax Administration is requested to leave these premises by Monday, September 14.

The Tax Administration unofficially confirmed that it had received the request, but they could not say how they would react.

The municipal administration, as Mayor Nasim Redzepi said, needed that space "because there is no room for its employees". 

“It is an office and a room that the Tax Administration uses as a kind of archive for storing documents, which, I believe, they do not even need anymore. We need those premises because we do not have enough room for our employees", Mr. Redzepi said.

In addition to these two, the Tax Administration uses several other offices on the ground floor of the municipal building.
