Мedvedja – Elementary school "Vladimir Bukulić" in the village of Tulare near Medvedja is "richer" in 3 computers donated to it by the "Alek Kavcic" Foundation. According to Aleksandar Kavcic, the founder of the Foundation, the school is attended by 20 students, so everyone will be able to work on a computer, and the printer will be used to print textbooks when they become free and available on the Internet, which is the Foundation's main project.
Mr. Kavcic visited the school in Tulare and delivered the symbolic donation, and as he says, the idea to help the students of that school arose in a conversation with one of their teachers, who said that many students could not follow classes by means of distance learning because they did not have computers or cell phones.
“I figured out from talking to him that the children in that school did not have the conditions to follow classes through distance learning. 50% of them do not even have textbooks because their parents are simply not able to buy them ", Mr. Kavcic says.
This is, he says, the first school from a rural area that the Foundation has helped. In the past, computers were donated to the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade every year.
