Vranje – This year, the “Sladjana Veljkovic” journalistic award, which is awarded as an homage to her editorial work in the "Vranjske" weekly, will be given for the second time, the Center for Media Transparency and Social Responsibility (CMTSR) from Vranje said.
“In view of the current situation and the fact that journalists were compelled to report on COVID 19 during the state of emergency, the award organizing committee decided to introduce, this year, in addition to the existing awards, another non-monetary recognition – the one for best reporting on the topic of coronavirus in Serbia. Three equal awards, which are in the form of a plaque and a cash sum of 200 euros, will also be awarded this year. The sponsor of this year's award is the Alfa-Plam company from Vranje,” it was said in the statement.
The CMTSR reminds that journalists and newsrooms can submit their proposals for three categories of best media achievements:
– For the best reportage
– For the best editorial work in the local media
– For a journalistic endeavor
The competition is open to journalists from all spheres of journalism (television, print and online media) from the territory of the Republic of Serbia and from the editorial offices in the region reporting in the Serbian language.
You should submit your works to nagradasladjanaveljkovic@gmail.com by June 15, 2020 at the latest.
All works published from July 8, 2019 to June 15, 2020 shall be taken into consideration.
