Belgrade – Justice Minister Nikola Selaković said that the establishment of a basic court in Bujanovac was proposed in the Bill on the Network of Courts, which is outside the criteria set by the working group.

“In terms of distance, Bujanovac is extremely close to Vranje. Also, speaking from the viewpoint of its functionality and human resources, as well as in all other respects, a basic court didn’t have to be there,” Minister Selakovic said.  “Recognizing the uniqueness of the area and its multi-ethnic make-up, we proposed that Bujanovac should have a basic court", said Minister Selakovic.

The said bill provides for magistrates courts in Vranje for the municipalities of Bosilegrad, Bujanovac, Vladicin Han, Surdulica, Trgoviste and for the town of Vranje, including the court’ department in Bujanovac.
