REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FIRST IN SERBIA TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY AND FIVE MUNICIPALITIES OF JABLANICA DISTRICT

Leskovac – An agreement on technical cooperation between the Chamber, the City of Leskovac and five municipalities of the Jablanica district was signed at the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Jablanica and Pcinj Districts of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Cooperation on providing favorable conditions for business entrepreneurs, for the writing and implementation of projects, organization of seminars and training courses for companies and farms was agreed by the agreement. 

The signing of the agreement on technical cooperation aims to intensify cooperation with the local self-government, jointly solve the problems  of businessmen from South Serbia, as well as to attract new investments and develop the Jablanica region through mutual cooperation, said Goran Jovic, the Director of the Leskovac Chamber of Commerce. 

Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said that the thus-far cooperation with the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Jablanica and Pcinj districts was at a high level and stressed that the economy was top priority for that municipality.  

"We have a few potential investors and the Chamber of Commerce, which was always our good and true partner, and was always there for us as an intermediary, all in the interest of our citizens," Mayor Arsic said.

The Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Jablanica and Pcinj districts is the first in Serbia that signed the agreement on technical cooperation with the city and the municipalities of that district.

Thanks to the adoption of the Law on Chambers of Commerce, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, as an association that represents the interests of the economy for the purpose of defining economic policy measures, giving opinions on the proposed decisions of local self-governmental bodies and bringing into line the mutual interests of businessmen from the said district, established a new communication mechanism.
