The Swiss PRO program issued a public call for providing support to local self-governments in strengthening gender equality mechanisms.

Do you want to have more equality between male and female citizens in your local community?

Do you see the need for your fellow citizens, especially young people, to get involved in the dialogue on gender equality and the elimination of gender stereotypes?

Do you have ideas on how to improve the local good governance practices that contribute to gender equality?

Through a public call under the slogan "For Equality to Become a Reality", the Swiss PRO program will directly support up to 30 local self-governments to implement the projects aimed at institutional strengthening of local mechanisms for gender equality. This initiative, which is part of the activities to promote and advocate for gender equality in local communities, is supported by the Government of Switzerland, through the Swiss PRO development program.

The total budget of the public call is 100,000 euros, while the value of non-refundable funds per project is up to 3,300 euros.

The duration of the project is from six to eight months.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is October 12, 2020.
