The Innovation Fund offers financial support for innovative projects designed to solve the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

Applications are open to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with the already developed prototypes, products, services and technologies that can be scaled up in a short period of time and become available for use in counteracting the pandemic impact.

The innovative projects should offer solutions to the shortcomings and problems related to healthcare and wellbeing problems of the population, which were caused by the coronavirus pandemic and emergency situation. In addition to solutions in the field of public health, the Fund will also consider solutions in the field of communication, detection and protection, social media, supply chains, finance and the like, which address the problem described above.

Projects funded in this public call may take up to 30 days. In the case of specific developments, the Fund may approve the extension of project activities without the approval of additional funds.

The development of drugs and vaccines does not fall into the eligible category for this public call.

The maximum amount of funding under this public call is 6 million dinars per project, while the co-financing by the Fund cannot cover more than 85% of the total project costs. The obligatory 15% of co-financing by the applicant must be provided from private sources (own funds, loans, investments and the like).

State financial assistance rules apply to the funds received by a grant beneficiary from the Fund through this public call, in accordance with the Fund's Rule Book on State Financial Assistance Rules.

The public call is continuously open and applications will be evaluated upon their receipt. The Fund underscores that the applications submitted at an earlier time will have priority on the occasion of their evaluation.
