The European Union's Support to Social Housing and Active Inclusion (EU SHAI) program, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services, is organizing a roundtable on "The Impact of COVID 19 on the Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups".
The round table will be held online, on October 29, 2020, from 10 am to 12.30 pm. All applicants will subsequently receive a link for joining the round table. During the round table, interpretation into the Serbian sign language will be provided.
Prominent experts in this field will speak as panelists on the impacts and consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic on the social inclusion of vulnerable groups and populations at risk of poverty in Serbia – women victims of violence, Roma, people with disabilities and children without parental care. The consequences for employment, education, access to healthcare services and social protection will be especially emphasized. The focus will be on the best practices of social inclusion service providers from the public and civil sectors, as well as on successfully taken measures to reduce the negative impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic. The opportunities for improving social inclusion, which arose from the current healthcare crisis, will also be discussed.
This round table is intended for representatives of relevant national institutions, all local self-governments in Serbia and their teams for the social inclusion of vulnerable groups, including civil society institutions and organizations.
