Bujanovac – On Friday, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Zoran Stankovic, and the President of the Municipality of Bujanovac, Nagip Arifi, handed out New Year's packages to children with special needs, while a one-off financial assistance of 6,000 dinars was provided to persons with disabilities.

The packages were given to primary and secondary school students in the territory of the municipality of Bujanovac, who are educated according to a special individual education program (IEP).

This year, the traditional handing out of New Year’s packages was organized in the "Vuk Karadzic" Cultural Center. 

"These children need special commitment and attention, and to that end, the local self-government has hired 30 personal assistants, who will take care of the children's development," the Municipality stated.

The local self-government will continue to provide support to these children in the future as well and help them integrate into society.

Based on the call issued on December 10, 169 persons with special needs applied for financial assistance from the budget of the Coordination Body and the municipality, and all of them would receive 6,000 dinars each.
