Belgrade – As of Saturday, April 4 at 1pm to Monday at 5am, everyone will be banned from moving, President Aleksandar Vucic said after the Crisis Staff meeting, but retirees will still be able to go shopping on Sundays as they have done so far.

BelgradeAs of Saturday, April 4 at 1pm to Monday at 5am, everyone will be banned from moving, President Aleksandar Vucic said after the Crisis Staff meeting, but retirees will still be able to go shopping on Sundays as they have done so far. Pets will again be allowed to be taken fop a walk, while as of tonight, it is forbidden for two people to be in one place at the same time.

After meeting with the experts, President Vucic said that they had analyzed the current situation and decided to tighten some measures, as well as to ease some of them.  The hardest measure will be a ban on movement over weekends, which will come into force on Saturday, April 4 at 1pm and last until 5am on Monday. That ban does not apply only to retirees, who will be able to go shopping for groceries on Sundays from 4 am to 7 am.

As a key measure, he announced the one coming into force tonight – no more than two people can gather in one place.

The eased measure concerns pets that will again be able to stay outside briefly during the ban.

“This measure is only valid from Saturday evening onward, so that you do not have a complete restriction of movement, since you will be allowed to take your pets for a walk from 11 pm to 1 am within 200 meters of the place of your residence,” President Vucic said.

President Vucic also said that over the next 72 hours, the number of people infected was expected to increase, which was why more deaths were expected, as there were 81 people on ventilators at that moment.

He also said that Niš was no longer among the largest hot spots of the infection, that the possibility of new patients was not excluded, but that following 4 deaths, it was able to stabilize itself.
