NEW INFIRMARY IN THE VILLAGE OF LETOVICA AWAITS OPERATING LICENSE

Bujanovac – Although the village Letovica got a new infirmary building four years ago, which should be operating within the Bujanovac health center, the residents of the said village in the municipality of Bujanovac are still waiting for it to start operating.

Bujanovac – Although the village Letovica got a new infirmary building four years ago, which should be operating within the Bujanovac health center, the residents of the said village in the municipality of Bujanovac are still waiting for it to start operating.

Ekrem Dzemailji, a councilor in the Municipal Assembly of Bujanovac, recently addressed the issue:

“Around 1,700 residents of the village of Letovica have been waiting for the infirmary for four years.  Given that the competent institutions have not yet issued the necessary operating license, the local self-government should be engaged in solving the problem. We can not wait any longer. How much does it cost to hire two healthcare workers, "councilor Dzemailji asked.

Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, said that the infirmary in Letovica was not included in the network of healthcare institutions.

“We did not get the approval for recruitment from the relevant ministry. We received some promises that this would be done, but we can discuss it only when the promises have been fulfilled.  We need to see if the local self-government could try to equip the infirmary and provide funds for its staff, "Mr. Arsic said.

On that occasion, he also said that the Director of the Health Center in Bujanovac regularly sent requests to the Ministry for including the aforementioned infirmary in the network of healthcare institutions.
