MINISTRY OF JUSTICE ISSUED A CALL FOR THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS COLLECTED ON THE BASIS OF POSTPONING CRIMINAL PROSECUTIONS

The Ministry of Justice has issued a call for the allocation of 500 million dinars collected on the basis of the postponement of criminal prosecutions, which are meant for projects of public importance that are being implemented for social and humanitarian purposes.

Eligible to participate in the call are individuals, companies and institutions, bodies, organizations, entrepreneurs, associations, funds and humanitarian organizations with the projects by which public interest in the field of healthcare, culture, education and humanitarian work is achieved during the current year.  

Following the call, the budget of 500 million dinars will be distributed by the commission set up by the Minister of Justice, Maja Popovic, and then confirmed by the final decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The deadline for submitting the applications is 20 days from the publishing of the call in the "Official Gazette", while the applications will be opened on March 2 on the premises of the Ministry of Justice.

Information on the call is available on the website of the Ministry of Justice www.mpravde.gov.rs , and by phone 011/ 36-22-354, every working day from 10 am to 1 pm, as well as by e-mail oportunitet@mpravde.gov. The person in charge of providing information on the public call is Tanja Petrovic.

Last year, on the basis of the postponement of criminal prosecutions, 500 million dinars were awarded for 130 projects, which were submitted by schools, kindergartens, hospitals, health centers, libraries, humanitarian organizations, old people’s and social work centers, facilities for the accommodation of children and youth, folk ensembles, associations and archives.

The largest amount of the funds was, in the previous call, set aside for healthcare and for the procurement of equipment and vehicles, almost 237 million dinars, which is almost half of the total funds provided.
