The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, through the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Nis, issued a call for project proposals that would be implemented with a grant through the official development financial assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria, with implementation starting in 2021.

The goals of the project are:

– Providing support with the democratic reform processes, protection of human and minority rights, strengthening the rule of law, civil society, market economy, etc., in the context of European integration;

– Encouraging and supporting the building of the administrative capacity of the Republic of Serbia for achieving democratic reform processes and respect for human and minority rights, especially with regard to institutions that currently do not have sufficient experience and capacity for relevant functions and activities;

– Supporting freedom of expression and the media by promoting quality and independent journalism.

The minimum grant amount is up to EUR 2,500.

The maximum grant amount is up to EUR 135,000.

The application deadline is July 10, 2020.
