Vranje – Following recent tours of the Nis, Pirot and Jablanica Administrative Districts, Minister Milan Krkobabic, who is in charge of regional development, held a meeting in Vranje, where he went on a tour of the Pcinj District, which is part of the continued implementation of the adopted program of financial support to the implementation of measures for a balanced regional development of Serbia.
Vranje – Following recent tours of the Nis, Pirot and Jablanica Administrative Districts, Minister Milan Krkobabic, who is in charge of regional development, held a meeting in Vranje, where he went on a tour of the Pcinj District, which is part of the continued implementation of the adopted program of financial support to the implementation of measures for a balanced regional development of Serbia.
On that occasion, Minister Krkobabic held a meeting with the Mayor of Vranje, as well as with representatives of the municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo, Vranjska Banja, Bosilegrad, Vladicin Han, Trgoviste and Surdulica, which was attended by representatives of the municipal offices in charge of agriculture, the district cooperative union and the directors of cooperatives from the Pcinj district.
Minister Krkobabic said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia would, in the following three years, do everything in order to contribute to the development of South Serbia.
“The backbone of such a policy would be the promotion of cooperatives and the profiling of companies that will be in charge of regional development, which includes determining at least one supporting company, which will dictate the pace, drive the economic activities and allow the revival of small and medium-sized enterprises, because the story of the development of these companies without the existing supporting company cost Serbia a lot over the past 20 years, "Minister Krkobabic said.
He also stressed that the Government of the Republic of Serbia had to precisely define the map of economic development, which would be brought into line with the new economic policy. Minister Krkobabic said that the situation in cooperatives was not great, that the affirmation of cooperatives had started, with the aim of healing the existing cooperatives and establishing new ones, but also that he would insist and work on ensuring that at least one new cooperative would be established and one existing one revitalized in the area of each of the five districts, by the New Year.
