BelgradeThe Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM), in cooperation with the Council of Europe, has adapted into Serbian four publications on media literacy for the youngest, aimed at educating and informing children, parents, teachers and educators about the media, media environment and pointing out the importance of media literacy as one of the most important life skills of the 21st century.

The publications "Picture Book on the Media", "How Can Parents Support their Children in the Media World?" (prepared for parents' meetings in kindergartens), "Workshop: Advertisements" (workshop material for kindergartens, for children from 6 to 7 years old) and "Optical Toy Workshop" (workshop material for kindergartens, for children from 5 to 7 years old) can be downloaded in electronic form on the REM website http://www.rem.rs/sr/dodatno/projekti/medijska-pismenost#gsc.tab=0

Through a creative approach, these educational materials bring children closer to the world of media and enable them to better understand the world around them.

The publications were prepared within the joint project of the Council of Europe and the European Union JUFREX 2, which is part of the program "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II", which provides beneficiaries with support in implementing reform agendas in the areas of human rights, rule of law and democracy, as well as with reconciling with the European standards and the EU acquis in the enlargement process.
