The Association of Citizens "FemPlatz" and the organization "From the Belgrade Circle" have published a "Manual for (Self) Employment of Women with Disabilities".

The number of employed women with disabilities is very low, while the obstacles they face include a low level of education, the prevailing medical approach to disability and the employer’s lack of interest and activities aimed at employing women with disabilities. The obstacles are also reflected in the lack of available and accessible jobs and information on services, as well as in their constant uncertainty on the labor market.

This manual was developed due to the unfavorable position of women with disabilities on the labor market in Serbia, as part of the project "Empowerment of Women with Disabilities for Employment and Self-Employment. The aim of the manual is to provide basic information to women with disabilities on employment and self-employment opportunities, their labor rights and protection of their labor rights, as well as some specific opportunities available to them, such as social entrepreneurship and cooperatives. 

The publisher hopes that the manual will be useful to women with disabilities who want to get (self) employed, as well as to those who are employed, especially in the part dealing with their work-related rights.
