During the second day of a visit to South Serbia, Ambassador Konuzin talked with representatives of the local self-governments and Albanian and Serbian political parties in the municipality of Presevo. He thereupon had meetings with the mayor of the municipality of Bujanovac, Saip Kamberi, the president of the Municipal Assembly, Jonuz Musliju, and representatives of the Coordination Body for South Serbia.

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) provided 20,000 US $ to the "Steel U"Company from Presevo, which is specialized in the production and fitting of PVC and aluminum-made joinery. This will enable completion and modernization of the company’s production process, the USAID said yesterday. The funds were provided by the USAID’s Economic Security Program with the aim of ensuring a portion of the funds necessary for purchasing four machines for the company, which will make it possible for the company to develop its production capacities, improve the quality of its products and get into new markets, it was said in the statement.
Milos Simonovic, the mayor of Nis, and Timo Stigelmann, Director of "Help" Office in Serbia, signed an agreement on co-operation in the project titled "Support to the Local Sustainable Development in South Serbia."
