On Friday, December 17, 2010, the “We are the Whole World” play, which is delivered by the “You and I are We” youth center from Bujanovac, was performed at the packed “Rasa Plaovic” stage of the National Theatre. Prior to the performance, the audience was addressed by Bozidar Djurovic, Director of the National Theatre, Miodrag Djuric, the Provincial Secretary for Culture, Nebojsa Bradic, Minister of Culture, as well as by Minister Milan Markovic, President of the Coordination Body.

On Tuesday, November 30, 2010, “The Future” multiethnic organization from Veliki Trnovac showed for the first time to the residents of Bujanovac “Catch me if You Can” feature – length movie. The said movie is part of the project “Together for a Smile”, which was supported by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

On Wednesday, December 8, 2010, fourteen Serbian, Albanian and Roma secondary-school students from Bujanovac and Presevo showed at the full hall of the Bujanovac community center that a different world is possible. During a ninety – minute show, the young performers of the play showed that friendship, affection and tolerance held them together and kept them happy. They sent a message that friendship among persons of different ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural backgrounds is possible, as well as that such bonds among people were the most important ones.

This is the second time that the Coordination Body awards scholarships to secondary school students from Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.

SERBIAN AND ALBANIAN SCHOOLCHILDREN TOGETHER IN GERMANY

Around thirty students and teachers of secondary schools “Sveti Sava” and “Sezai Suroi” from Bujanovac paid a seven-day visit to students of the “Caroline Breitinger” school, which is located in the major city of the southern German Hoenloe district, which is the third largest district in Germany. Students from Bujanovac participated in the “Partnerships in Action” project, which is implemented by the German and US governments, within which over 1,500 students and teachers from 60 secondary schools for economics from Serbia and Germany should associate with one another and study together.
