Source: Pregled / Presevo – Presevo cattle-breeders got 55 heifers for breeding from the state.  “Simmental heifers arrived when the cattle-breeders had already lost hope that they would get them, "said Miodrag Milkovic, Director of the veterinary station in Bujanovac, which is responsible for the Presevo municipality as well.

Mr. Milković pointed out that all those who had found high-quality cattle in their stables were fortunate;   the government, actually, gave them two thousand euros per one cattle, which is what every heifer is worth, and even made it possible for them to get seven thousand liters of milk per year.

As part of the program for providing assistance to disadvantaged areas, the Ministry of Agriculture provided breeding animals to Presevo.  

The municipality of Bujanovac could have counted on getting as many as 250 heifers from the same fund. Mr. Milkovic, however, pointed out that the self- government of Bujanovac failed to use this extraordinary opportunity to strengthen its livestock, which is barely surviving not only in the Bujanovac area, but throughout the Pcinj district.
