Kostadinos Atanasias was born in Greece but, due to his work, he temporarily settled in Presevo, where he is developing the business related to drilling wells. He rented a house there and is delighted that both Serbs and Albanians are among his friends.  

“I often hear about some disputes between Serbs and Albanians, but I hang out and sit in the bar with both of them.  I live in Presevo and am surrounded by good people. There is work here and that's good enough for me”, begins his story a Greek who specializes in digging up wells for irrigation.

He works all over Serbia, but his “base” is in Presevo.  There are both Greeks and people from the region among his employees, while he charges from 50 to 250 euros per well.  

“There is work for industrious people.  The same issue troubles peoples in the entire Balkans – how to feed their families, while the politics is a minor thing.  I love the people in Serbia , their spontaneity and hospitality, regardless of how hard they live. Serbia is my second country”, said Mr. Atanasias.  

Educated as a psychologist, now a businessman, Mr. Atanasias came to Serbia for the first time  in 1983, when he, as a young man, was interested in music.
