Presevo – The German ASB organization delivered 50 beds, along with the appropriate mattresses, sheets and blankets, to the Reception Center for Migrants in Presevo. The beds were donated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, which will make it possible for refugees and migrants to have as good conditions as possible at the center during their stay there over the winter.

Around 700 migrants are currently staying at the Reception Center in Presevo, while almost a quarter of them are children. 

Over the past year, the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany provided, through the ASB organization, 2.5 million euros for the refugees in Serbia.  

Goran Ciric, the Head of the Reception Center in Presevo, said that the situation at the center was good and that the lice epidemic had been suppressed.

In November 2015, the European Union earmarked seven million euros to resolve the problem of migrants in Serbia. The money is mainly used to pay 290 employees of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, as well as for the purchase of beds.

The ASB organization has, so far, delivered 250 beds to the Reception Center in Presevo.
