As part of the project "Support to the Production of Organic Food in South Serbia," the activities related to cooperation with agricultural schools from Jablanica and Pcinj districts continued, in order to raise the awareness of young people about the importance of producing organic food.

In November, the activities for training students that are interested in the topics related to the processing of organic products will go on. This time, too, all students of agricultural schools will have the opportunity to participate in the training course, while students of food products departments will be in the forefront. So far, several lectures were held at which students had received knowledge about processing organic products, organic production standards and about specific procedures for processing organic products.

Following the lectures, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in a quiz, which will be held in mid-November. Students that achieve the best results will become members of a team and they will spend four days in Selenca at the end of November.  The seat of the ”Hello Organic” company, which is one of the largest producers of organic juices and other organic products, is in the place situated in the north-western part of Backa District. The selected students will have the opportunity to continue their training in Selenca, which will be provided to them by renowned experts in the field. At the "Hello organic" company, the students will have the opportunity to see in practice what they were taught during the classes, while it was also planned to include them in certain manufacturing processes.

In the previous activities, which were undertaken as part of the project "Support to the Production of Organic Food in South Serbia" – "Five Organic", eighteen students and four teachers participated in a study tour to Austria, during which they visited a large number of organic farms in the vicinity of Vienna. Participants in the trip included mostly students of agricultural secondary schools from Jablanica and Pcinj districts.
