BelgradeThe Minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, said that the third "minimum corona wage" would be paid on July 7, and added that thanks to the state support measures, the plants, factories and the Serbian economy were preserved.

Speaking on the TV Prva channel, Minister Mali said that serious and responsible work was to start, for the purpose of fulfilling the promises in the shortest possible time, increasing the living standard of the citizens and reaching the goal – an average salary of 900 euros and an average pension of 440 euros.

“Things are accelerating now, as new factories and jobs are being opened.  Work on opening highways is underway. The goals are reached much faster now.  Having all that in mind, it is realistic that with the projected growth rates, we will reach an average salary of 900 euros and a pension of up to 440 euros", Minister Mali said as a guest on the TV Prva channel.

Speaking about the upcoming revision of the agreement with the International Monetary Fund, which is expected this week, the Minister said that the main topics would be the implementation of economic measures due to the corona virus pandemic, as well as the "Serbia 2025" program.

"We will hold a revision of the agreement and meetings with the IMF Mission online. We need to look at the budget situation and the way we have implemented the measures for the corona virus pandemic so far. We have shown that we are serious, since we have taken care of both the businessmen and the citizens. They themselves say that we have saved our economy, "Minister Mali said, adding that the last payment of the minimum wage would be effected on July 7.

“The topic of discussion with the IMF is going to be the "Serbia 2025" program, too. We are starting talks with our partners, and by the end of the summer we will begin working on mass construction of the water supply and sewerage system in Serbia. We want to start implementing the projects as soon as possible, so that we could fulfill the promise we gave to the citizens ", Minister Mali said.
