Presevo, Bujanovac, Medvedja – "Farmers will get first subsidies in early March," said Branislav Nedimovic, Minister of Agriculture.

Minister Nedimovic stated that it was extremely important for farmers to get, after a difficult and dry year, the money from subsidies before spring planting.  He said that another bit of news was that the subsidies for fattening cattle intended for processing would be increased by 5,000 dinars, so that farmers would get 10,000 dinars per each fattening throat.  

“We are also working on how to provide diesel fuel to farmers on favorable terms.  For the time being, the proposal is that the fuel should be 25 dinars cheaper, and that it can be purchased at all petrol stations, but before that we have to introduce order in the VAT system, as well as among the farms, because of around 600,000 farms, 300,000 are  fictitiously registered " Minister Nedimovic said.
