Nis – The University of Nis has issued a call for enrollment in its 14 faculties for the 2020/2021 school year.  The applying starts on June 22 and lasts until June 27, while the entrance exams will be organized from June 29 to July 5.

At the faculties of the University of Nis, there are vacancies for 3,200 students who will be on the budget, as well as for 1,500 self-financing ones. It will also be possible to electronically apply for most faculties from June 15.

Most students get enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and Philosophy, while there are the fewest vacancies at the Faculty of Arts – 66 and at the Faculty of Agriculture in Krusevac – 105.

When it comes to tuition fees, the highest are at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Arts – 120,000 dinars, while the lowest are at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology – 45,000 dinars.

As in the previous few years, all those who get enrolled in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will not pay any tuition fees, because all 330 vacancies are for the students studying on the budget, while the same situation is at the Faculty of Technology, which enrolls 120 freshmen.

The Faculty of Economics plans to enroll 700 students, 330 at the expense of the state and 370 self-financing ones, while the Faculty of Philosophy has the vacancies for 640 freshmen – 340 studying on the budget and 300 who will be paying tuition fees. They are followed by the Faculty of Electronics, which will enroll 480 freshmen studying on the budget and 60 self-financing ones, and the Faculty of Law, which will enroll 400 students in basic academic studies, and 150 in vocational academic studies.

There are 496 vacancies available for future medical students, of which 300 vacancies are for those studying on the budget and 196 for those who will be paying tuition fees.  The Faculty of Sports and Physical Education offered 200 vacancies to the students who will be studying on the budget and 160 vacancies to the self-financing ones.

The Faculty of Occupational Safety will enroll 200 students studying on the budget and 160 self-financing ones, while the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will have 270 vacancies for those who will not be paying any tuition fees, as well as 70 for those who will be paying tuition fees.  The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture will have 30 vacancies less than last year, while the plan is to enroll 210 budget students, as well as 120 self-financing ones.

The Faculty of Pedagogy in Vranje will be able to enroll 260 students – 90 on the budget, and 170 that will be paying for their studies.

Apart from the number of students determined to study on the budget, there will be vacancies for several Roma students, as well as for disabled students, at almost all the faculties.
