Bujanovac – Since the beginning of December, seven children from Bujanovac have fallen ill with COVID-19, but they all had milder clinical pictures, and the situation is not alarming, said the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Daliborka Pavlovic.

“We have had cases of small family epidemics when children were also positive for the corona virus. It is true that the number of infected children is increasing, but the situation is far from being alarming, or it is not comparable to the situation involving infected adult population, "Dr. Pavlovic said

During this month, 77 pediatric examinations were done, which is three more until now than for the whole of November, when three cases of COVID among children were recorded.

She asked all citizens who come to the Health Center for patience.

“I appeal to the citizens to be patient and to understand that this epidemic affects everyone. A specific number of our employees are “out of action”, some are ill, some are in isolation, while we are all doing our best to do our job properly in these difficult circumstances”, the Director said.

The Director especially thanked the Bujanovac Veterinary Station, the Albanian diaspora and a certain Mr. Malici, the "Kostic Moleraj" company, "Bivoda" and the Red Cross for their help to the Health Center in the form of equipment and works on and around the healthcare facility.
