Belgrade – Banks will extend their working hours in order to enable special dates and times for the payment of pensions, when only pensioners will be able to be in their branches.
Special dates and times for the payment of pensions in bank branches, according to the instructions of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), and at the request of the Government of Serbia, will be as follows:
– On Friday, May 8, from 5 pm to 7 pm;
– On Saturday, May 9, from 1 pm to 3 pm;
– From Monday, May 11, to Friday, May 15, from 5 pm to 7 pm every day.
“We emphasize that the establishment of special dates and times for the payment of pensions on the bank's premises cannot prohibit persons who have reached 65 and more years of age from requesting the payment of pensions on the bank's premises during the bank's regular working hours, or beyond the set special dates and times,” it was stated in the instructions of the NBS.
Banks have been instructed to publish on their official websites special dates and times when pensions will be paid on the banks' premises as soon as possible, as well as to have a written notice of special dates and times clearly displayed at the entrance of bank branches before the start of their working hours.
According to the instructions of the NBS, banks are obliged to provide and implement all necessary measures in accordance with the recommendations of the competent institution in order to protect the health of the clients who are on the bank's premises and to ensure that only persons who have reached the age of 65 and over 65 are allowed to enter the bank's premises.
