Therefore, all adult citizens of the Republic of Serbia, who on the day of entry into force of the Decree (April 24, 2020) have a residence in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, as well as a valid ID card, have the right to a one-off financial assistance in the amount of 100 euros in dinar counter-value.
“Very simply, in a minute, everyone will have the opportunity to apply, "said Minister Mali in the press conference-room of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
From May 15 to June 5, 2020, adult citizens of the Republic of Serbia will be able to apply for receiving the financial assistance exclusively in the following manner: electronically or more precisely through the portal of the Treasury, or by phone.
Citizens will be informed about the phone number in a timely manner, and immediately before the contact center starts operating.
Minister Mali said that when applying, citizens would provide the following information: ID card number and citizen personal identification number, as well as the name of the bank in which they already have an account, or in which they want a special dedicated account to be opened.
After they apply, the competent institutions will do everything for them, including the opening of a dedicated account.
Pensioners and beneficiaries of financial social assistance will be automatically registered for getting the financial assistance, which will begin for them on May 15, 2020, Minister Mali said.
“There are a lot of citizens who desperately need that money. When you look at a family of four with adult children, and there are many such families in Serbia, that is 400 euros per family, which means one salary more in the house," the Minister said.
“Citizens' data will be fully protected and we have no fear of the possibility of misuse of those data. As soon as we pay those 100 euros, that register will be deleted. I spent hours on creating a secure system, so that we would not have a problem with the use of data," Minister Mali said.
