    Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, held a working meeting with William Infante,  the UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia. On that occasion, the President of the Coordination Body  informed Mr. Infante about the projects on which the  Coordination Body had previously worked , which include the construction of a building for the Faculty of Economics in Bujanovac, the awarding of  231 scholarships to secondary school students, the beginning of  the operation of the Serbian language school, which is attended by 305 students, and about  the allocation  of grants to small and medium-sized enterprises in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the total amount of which is 40 million dinars.

    Source: Jugpress  / Medvedja – 800,000 tons of copper and 78 tons of gold were discovered in the village of Tulare, which is situated near Medvedja, according to the "Danube Minerals" company, which carried out research there.
    It was also said in the statement that "following the final calculation of mineral reserves in Tulare, it was established that 300 million tons of ore with a content of 0.27 percent of copper and 0.26 grams per ton of ore existed there. This amounts to 800,000 tons of copper and 78 tons of gold ", the media conveyed the statement of Phil Fox, Research Manager at the" Danube Minerals" company.

    The Serbian language school, which is organized by the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, began operating on November 24, 2012. The classes in Serbian are attended by young people, who are from 15 to 30 years old, from the Albanian community in the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo. The language school is free and will last seven months. The Coordination Body provided top-quality textbooks for learning Serbian to all the students. The classes are held twice per week, on weekends, on the premises of the Faculty of Economics’ Department in Bujanovac and the secondary technical school in Presevo.

    The School of the Serbian language begins operating on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Students will attend classes at the Cultural Center in Bujanovac and at the secondary technical school in Presevo.  The school will have 310 students, who will, during a seven- month period, twice per week, on Saturdays and Sundays, with the assistance of teachers of the Serbian language and two teaching assistants from the Albanian community, improve their knowledge of Serbian for free and gain certified diplomas.
