The AFA organizes a Mentoring Program for Women Entrepreneurs, with the goal of providing women entrepreneurs with specific knowledge and skills for successful business management, but also the opportunity to connect and network, both with each other and with women leaders from various business spheres.
The Mentoring Program for Women Entrepreneurs is a joint program of the AFA and the Impact Hub and is a part of the “WE Founders” initiative, which is a three-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The aim of the project is to support women's businesses to realize their full economic potential and thus contribute to the economic growth of the country.
The AFA pays special attention to the media visibility of the Mentoring Program, given the importance that such support has for women's businesses and the importance of media promotion of women's entrepreneurship. The best participants and mentors of the program will be represented at the regional AFA Women’s Leadership Summit (https://wls.afa.co.rs/ ), which will be held upon completion of the program.
The AFA Mentoring Program is a unique mentoring program in which participants can get acquainted with the best business practices from Serbia and the world, get first-hand concrete advice for their businesses, and apply the acquired knowledge and skills the very next day.
The program includes:
– Six sessions dedicated to "core" business skills (Market entry and growth strategy, Business revenues and their growth, Strategic storytelling, Sales: "funnel", planning and activities, Financial planning, Fundraising),
– Six sessions dedicated to "soft" leadership skills (Networking skills, Skills, tools and leadership styles, Self-promotion, Women's solidarity and work ethic, Coping with awkward situations and learning from failure, Entrepreneurship as a lifestyle),
– Two events where participants will be able to demonstrate the skills they learned during the program:
The first event will be a "networking" cocktail where participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate the learned networking skills and meet women in leading positions of numerous companies from the AFA corporate network.
The second event will be the recording of one-on-one chats (“side chats”) between participants and leaders from the AFA corporate network, during which participants will present their businesses, their self-promotion and presentation skills, and demonstrate the most important knowledge gained during the program.
The mentoring program is primarily intended for women owners of businesses and start-ups, but women who have a clear business idea that they have not yet implemented may also apply
You can sign up for participating in the program on https://share.hsforms.com/10BmvNUZNSECiWtMWzTlZCA21ol5
The program lasts for three months, from January to March 2021.
The program will be implemented online, and provided the conditions permit it, parts of the program will be held on the premises of the Impact Hub and the AFA organization.
The signing-up deadline is December 30, 2020.
