CALL FOR TRAINING IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ROMA DISCRIMINATION

Belgrade –  The training will be held from November 1 to 9 in Berlin, Germany. 

Belgrade –  The training will be held from November 1 to 9 in Berlin, Germany. 

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers and to learn the methods and tools to combat discrimination against Roma, which leads to social exclusion, marginalization and racism. Other training objectives are: to develop the ability of training beneficiaries to organize activities and projects aimed at combating discrimination against Roma and hate speech, identifying the existing and developing further actions and measures to combat discrimination at national and European level, supporting mutual learning and networking among the beneficiaries, organizations and youth structures.   

The profile of beneficiaries includes Roma and non-Roma youth leaders, activists and volunteers who work with young people and/or Roma youth. The beneficiaries must be informed about the situation and challenges faced by members of the Roma community in their country, be motivated to develop their skills in advocacy, fight against discrimination, fight for human rights and to share their experiences with other beneficiaries, be older than 18, speak English well, be devoted to the lectures and be present during the entire duration of the training course.

Accommodation costs and other costs related to the training will be paid by the organizer.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed during the training or after it (it is necessary to keep the flight booking, invoices, airline tickets, bus/train tickets). The amount of travel expenses for Serbia is up to 275 euros.

 The application deadline is August 25, 2018.
