The project "Communities First: Launching a Hub of Civil Society Organizations to Address Violent Extremism – From Prevention to Reintegration" was launched to strengthen civil society organizations (including those dealing with youth, women and religious organizations) in the Western Balkans and  enable them to become efficient and responsible players in society.

The call aims to support small local organizations and local CSOs in the Western Balkans in building and increasing community resilience to violent extremism. 

Specific objectives:

1. Providing support to small local organizations and CSOs in establishing partnerships between CSOs, the media, religious organizations, the public sector, youth associations, academic community and other relevant players at the local level to encourage community response to work on preventing and combating violent extremism in the Western Balkans;

2. Providing support to small local organizations and CSOs in the implementation of pilot projects dealing with the initiators of violent extremism at the local community level.

The minimum amount of funds is 4,000 EUR.

The maximum amount of funds is 6,000 EUR.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is June 7, 2020.
