The Roma Education Fund (REF) is looking for partner organizations in Serbia to implement innovative projects that are in line with the REF's strategic framework and mission.

The call is open until May 31, 2020.

The REF's mission and ultimate goal is to bridge the gap in educational outcomes between Roma and non-Roma children. To achieve this goal, the REF supports the policies and programs that encourage quality education for Roma men and women through scholarships, grant programs and advocacy activities.

The REF's goals include:

• Expanding access to quality early childhood education and care for Roma children;
• Improving primary education results of Roma children aged six to fourteen;
• Improving the performance and graduation rate of Roma secondary school students;
• Supporting access to tertiary education, improving the graduation rate and strengthening the identity of Roma students;
• Expanding employment opportunities for young Roma men and women.

The Roma Education Fund Office in Serbia (REF Serbia) is implementing the project "Promoting the Employability of Young Roma Men and Women – Phase 2" with the support of the German Financial Cooperation Program, which is, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Germany – the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, implemented by the German Development Bank KfW.
