Bujanovac, Vranje – Zorana Mihajlovic, Technical Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, hinted at the possibility of building the Bujanovac – Strpce highway by using the US investment funds, promised by the agreement concluded in Washington between Serbia and Kosovo, reports the InfoVranjske portal.

“That road could be built by using the US investments, which total four billion dollars, " Minister Mihajlovic said in Vranje on Tuesday.

The Bujanovac-Strpce highway, which is around 100 kilometers long, would go through Gjilane and Urosevac to the Serbian enclave in Strpce and would be an excellent connection with the highway from Pristina to the Adriatic coast of Albania.

Minister Zorana Mihajlovic also announced the construction of the Nis – Pristina highway and the Merdare – Pristina railway, which has been at a standstill since 1999, and is  the continuation of the Nis – Merdare railway, which still functions today.
