BelgradeThe Bureau of Social Research (BIRODI) recently launched an online survey, "Life in Time and After COVID 19," which we informed you of on our website in a timely manner.

The result of the above-mentioned online survey shows that the citizens of the Republic of Serbia are satisfied with how the stores are supplied during the state of emergency, with the content and implementation of the measures by the Government’s Expert Team for the Suppression of the Coronavirus Outbreak, as well as with solidarity in society.

The citizens, on the other hand, express their dissatisfaction with the narrowed scope of exercising their rights, as well as with how the pharmacies are supplied with medicines and medical aids.

The results show that the citizens are satisfied with the information on the status of the pandemic and with the information on where they can seek medical help.

Doctors, health care institutions, the Expert Team of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, epidemiologists present in the public, the Army, the police, schools, as well as the citizens themselves, are seen as the main fighters against the epidemic.

While assessing that there is a "systematic fight" against the coronavirus epidemic, the respondents said that the Ministries that had made the greatest contribution until then included the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development.

Most respondents believe that Serbia will be able to cope with the epidemic with the "average" number of patients and deaths.

Every fifth survey participant fears that they might lose their jobs because of the epidemic.

The surveyed citizens supported the Government’s aid to the economy and the financial assistance provided to workers.

However, they do not support the nationalization of private property for the purpose of combating the epidemic, nor suspending or abolishing social networks on the Internet.

So far, 345 citizens have taken part in the survey.
