Bujanovac – The Municipal Council said that April and May would be the months of cleanliness in the area of ​​the municipality of Bujanovac. The statement was made with the aim of cleaning numerous illegal dumpsites in 59 settlements located in the territory of all 29 local communities. 

Basri Memeti, one of the three members of the municipal committee for drafting the Action Plan, says that those responsible for the said project will include the municipal self-government, the local communities, the schools and the PE "Komunalac". This environmental campaign was supposed to start on April 3, but due to lack of timely necessary preparations, the councilors decided that it should be postponed for 10 to 15 days.

At the proposal of Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, the Municipal Council  decided that the competent committee, with the assistance  of Redzep Ljatofi, a councilor from the village of Samoljica, should visit all the locations with the deposited trash and make a detailed plan for their removal.

“If the Action Plan is to be successful, it should be well prepared. We must accurately define who buys the wastes, who transports them and where they are deposited. Unfortunately, past practice proved that new waste dumps emerged immediately after they had been cleaned,” Deputy Mayor Arsic said.

Speaking of the amendments to the Action Plan, it should, inter alia, include the area of the village of Klenike and the area of the village of Dobrosin.
