On Saturday morning, a contingent of aid, consisting of sand bags, food, clothes, shoes, blankets, medicines and hygiene products, set off from Vranje. The aid is meant for those in Serbia’s flooded areas. 

According to what was said at the meeting of the Center for Emergency Situations in Vranje, a truck with 20,500 liters of water, which had been donated by “Heba”, set off from Vranje.

According to Zoran Arsic, the mayor of Vranje and the head of the Center for Emergency Situations,   a truck with water would arrive from Macedonia, too, whereas over 18, 000 liters of “Rosa” water would be dispatched on Monday.

He thanked all the citizens for the humanity shown, adding that volunteers had worked continuously the night before and that the response of people was still great.

On Monday, members of the City Council will decide on the amount of financial assistance to be paid to the flooded cities and municipalities, while a session of the Center for Emergency Situations will be held on the very same day, too.  

Anyway, the situation in the city of Vranje is normal, and the problems that arise are dealt with as they emerge.
